We Support: PNG Kidney Foundation

Sir Brian Bell Foundation provides a donation to PNG Kidney Foundation.

The Sir Brian Bell Foundation has provided K20,000 in support to sponsor the Kidney Foundation Charity Ball. Donations are vital to the continuation of the PNG Kidney Foundation providing access to care in PNG.

This donation assists with the continuation of operations, purchase, and upkeep of equipment as well as sponsorship of a PNG national doctor for further study to be a certified Nephrologist for the next three years as well as the recruitment of a Nephrologist and Training Specialist from overseas to assist with patient care.

Additionally, funds raised at the charity ball will be put towards the purchase of land and construction of a new building for expansion to set up the Kidney Medical Centre.

The PNG Kidney Foundation provides support to over 100 patients each year which can include consultations, counselling, and treatments. The centre alone has provided 10,352 Haemodialysis Treatments since July 2014.

We are also appreciative of the efforts the PNG Kidney Foundation go to raising awareness on the burden of kidney disease in PNG and prevention strategies to keep our community healthy” commented Sir Brian Bell Foundation CEO Bronwyn Wright.
