We Support: Haus Ruth

The Sir Brian Bell Foundation donates K80,736 to Haus Ruth from the Christmas Wish Tree promotion.

The annual Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Brian Bell Group Christmas Wish Tree promotion continued for the 7th year in 2023 with a total of K235,396 raised nationally to support numerous worthy charities and causes across Papua New Guinea with 100% of the funds raised being distributed to the nominated charities.

Our nominated Port Moresby charity was the Haus Ruth which is a facility operated by City Mission which provides shelter, counselling, social services, and aftercare for women and their children who have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused. It has been serving as a long-term care facility for survivors of gender-based violence since 2003.

The special donation of K80,736 was provided by Gordons Homecentres Branch Manager Marilyn Baisiro to Haus Ruth General Manager Mr. Gerald Bengessar today who was grateful to receive the donation in a special presentation. Brian Bell Foundation Support Squad Team Members also showed their support in the special presentation and thanked all the loyal customers and team members who visited our stores during the Christmas period and purchased a wish tree bauble.
