We Support: Leron-Wantoat Women’s Association Inc

Sir Brian Bell Foundation provide Wish Tree Cheque to Leron-Wantoat Women’s Association Inc. After a successful Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Brian Bell Group Christmas Wish Tree Campaign in 2022, we are excited to deliver a cheque for K29,058 donation to our nominated Lae Charity.

The Leron-Wantoat Women’s Association Inc provides basic support services to women in the remote Markham District which is 89 Kilometres from Lae into the far inland of Wantoat. Access to basic support services including health care is a challenge for those living in this remote region with 7 out of 10 people die from curable diseases. Additionally, 50% of children do not have access to formal education.

With support from the Leron-Wantoat Women’s Association access to health services is available for the 15,000 population of which 60% are women. Additionally, children have been able to receive library books, desks, and other donated supplies to support their education.

Sir Brian Bell Foundation Support Squad team members including Lae Branch Manager Getta Sioni and Assistant Retail Manager Loa Iosia were excited to be able to provide President – Leron-Wantoat Women’s Association the cheque in a special presentation last week.

These special donations from our loyal customers helped the Sir Brian Bell Foundation continue their efforts to provide much-needed support to individuals and charities across Papua New Guinea.
